Q) How long from the Date Of Service can we expect to be paid for services?
A) Once we receive your billing it is submitted within 48 hrs. and usually 90% of claims are paid within 30-60 days. All others within less than 120 days.
Q) Do you follow up on denied claims and resubmit them?
A) Absolutely! We follow up on claims bi-weekly. Any of the few denied claims are appealed or resubmitted until claim has been resolved.
Q) Do you charge extra for resubmitting or appealing denied claims?
A) No. No matter what reason there is for resubmitting any of the few denied claims, you will not be charged extra.
Q) Do you charge extra fees for anything other than your billing services(eg.postage,claim forms,etc.)?
A) No. You will not be charged for anything other than our billing services. We supply everything needed to submit your claims.
Q) What are your fees for your service?
A) Our fees vary depending on the needs of each practice. We do not have a set rate for each practice.
Q) Is Signature Medical Billing HIPAA Compliant?
A) Yes! HIPAA Compliance is as important to us as it is to your practice. We have implemented HIPPA regulations and are always kept aware of any changes there may be.
Q) How do you submit claims to payers?
A) Most claims are sent electronically for faster turn- around. A small portion of our claims are paper claims.
Q) Do you send patient statements?
A) Yes. We send patient statements should your practice need this service. We also follow up on statements sent to patients.
Q) Who does a patient call for billing questions?
A) Patients will call Signature Medical Billing with any questions regarding their bill. We will assist them with their needs.
Q) Does your company do coding also?
A) We have extensive knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-9 and HCPCS codes and have up to date coding books. However, it's always a better idea to have the doctor's office code the material since only the doctor and his staff can say exactly what procedures were performed.
Q) How long would it take to get started?
A) It may take only a couple of weeks to get started. In some cases it could be less depending on your practice size and needs.
Q) If I have questions or concerns, will I always call the same person?
A) Yes, you will always communicate with the same person regarding your concerns. Our clients are each assigned to one account professional whom is not overwhelmed with clients and will be able to assist your personal billing questions and needs.
